Participants in the Junior Orchestra audition in August or January of each school year. Rehearsals are weekly, September through April. Students experience an opportunity to play a variety of string orchestra music and sample a full orchestra by performing a song or two with the Youth Orchestra occasionally!
The students are led by a gifted conductor, receive quality sectional training, and enjoy performing 3 or 4 concerts together for the community! The board attempts to secure diverse and exciting locations for these performances which are advertised and open to the public.
Concert Attire for JO students:
White dress shirts, black pants/skirts. (Ladies, if you wear a skirt, please make sure it is below your knees.)
Black shoes (black socks/hose).
